Quick & Healthy : Chicken Sausage Veggie Stir Fry

March 10, 2008

I’ve been on such a health kick for the past four weeks. I’m always looking up healthy (and quick) recipes to try after a long day of meetings. What I love about this meal is that it’s sure easy (it’s fool proof), quick, healthy, and not to mention it taste great! All you need is a package of mixed veggies (I bought the veggies that were fresh, not the ones that were frozen), chicken sausages (or any kind of sausage you like. I bought the mini cocktail sized sausages that were fully cooked), and brown rice (since brown rice takes longer to cook than white rice, I usually cook up a whole bag the beginning of the week and store it in the fridge. That last me at least a few days.).

– Sautee (with olive oil) veggies til tender. I like to add some chopped up ginger & garlic to this as well for added flavor.

– Microwave the fully cooked mini sausages (I use 3-6 mini sausages per serving) for 30seconds. Make sure not to microwave the sausages for too long because they might bust.

– Cut sausages into smaller pieces.

Serve veggies & sausages over brown rice.

– Add a bit of soy sauce for taste. I also like to add a bit of crushed red pepper for some heat.

Holiday’s = UNWANTED weight gain..

November 26, 2007

YES, admit it. We all gain a little extra weight during the holiday season. Big meals, snacking in between, and let us not forget.. DESSERTS. Wouldn’t it be nice to cut your calories during the holiday season? Well, I’m about to share some of my holiday secret products that I myself live by (as well as my family and friends) to cut the calories all while enjoying a heavy carb/fat/calorie meal (kind of sounds like a dream come true right?):

Nutrilite Carb Blocker 2. I seriously live by this stuff. What these little gems do is help cut up to 500 carb calories per meal and makes you fuller for loner. Yes, they do that! I take at least 2-3 tablets per day (I usually take them 2-3 times a week). I’veMy family and friends have noticed a drop in weight since taking these carb blockers. It’s really amazing because I still eat like I do and work out (when I have the time) but yet, the pounds are melting off just like that because of these carb blockers. They come in a either a Blister Pack (3 packets of 10 tablets) or a Bottle size that included 90 tablets. These would make great stocking stuffers for you and all the carbaholics you know and love!

XS Energy Drinks. Who doesn’t love drinking an energy drink every now and then? But, who dreads the awful racing heart, getting jittery, and can’t forget about the awful crash. XS energy drinks are the only energy drinks I’ve had that don’t do all things I’ve just mentioned. These energy drinks are low carb, only have 8-10 calories, and best of all have 0 sugar. Loaded with vitamins like A, C, Calcium, Iron just to name a few. How could this stuff not be good for you? I usually skip the holiday high calorie drinks and opt for these energy drinks. I buy these by the cases because nobody can get enough of these. What’s even more great about these energy drinks, they offer caffeine free varieties. They come in a variety of flavors like Black Cherry Cola (my personal favorite!), Cola, Cranberry Grape, Rootbeer, Tropical, Cherry, Electric Lemon, Citrus, Peach Tea, and don’t forget about the caffeine free energy drinks that are listed on here. Buy these buy the case loads, everyone one will want to try these and be hooked.

If you have questions about the products that I’ve listed,
please e-mail me at or you can leave a comment (yes! finally a post that I’m allowing comments ;]) comments aren’t even working.

I hope all of you have a great holiday!
I’ll be back soon with some new exciting reviews, tips, and a possible whole new site for 2008! How knows…

God bless you all!
